About EnergyCare
EnergyCare provides energy-related services for low-income families with elderly, disabled, chronically ill and young children to enable a healthier and safer environment in their homes. 

EnergyCare's History of Caring

Sr. Patricia Ann Kelley, CCVI, founded EnergyCare on September 3, 1983 as a Missouri nonprofit corporation under the guidance of a voluntary Board of Directors. 

Services

• education regarding hypothermia and hyperthermia prevention and the related energy needs of people with low and fixed incomes  
• telephone energy assistance information, referral and counseling for people who have delinquent heating and cooling bills  
• minor furnace repairs
• emergency goods (blankets, heaters, air conditioners) to medically high risk families
• advocacy for the energy needs of the poor and elderly by working to maintain adequate sources of public and private energy assistance funds
• weatherization and conservation information and services
• wholesale purchasing of weatherization materials, electric heaters and blankets for social services organizations 

Funding
EnergyCare is funded by the generous contributions of local individuals, corporations, foundations and religious and civic organizations 

EnergyCare gratefully accepts donations of cash, materials or in-kind services provided by volunteers 

The IRS has determined EnergyCare to be a 501(c)(3) organization. Therefore, contributions to EnergyCare are tax deductible as allowed by law.
