"Lot of Potential"

Operation Brightside is in the process of transforming the vacant lot adjacent to our office into a demonstration garden. The first step is complete, thanks to the Street Department. During the extreme cold in January and February 2007, the Street Department removed tons of rock from the site and hauled in soil.

This past spring, we planted grass to green up the area while we continue to develop our plans and identify funding sources to complete the garden project.

This first step is a wonderful example of a public-private partnership that works! Our sincere appreciation to the Street Department for their efforts.
