The Compton Heights Concert Band of St. Louis presented its annual December Pops concert at Powell Symphony Hall. The 2007 Holiday Pops at Powell featured two fantastic guest artists -- Hugh Smith, Tenor and Nicole Cabell, Soprano! Hugh has won many international competitions, including the Luciano Pavarotti International Competition and the Metropolitan Opera National Auditions. Nicole won the 2005 BBC Cardiff Singer of the World competition and has just released a solo album with DECCA Records which has received glowing reviews including 'Editor's Choice May 2007' Gramophone Magazine. |
