Geoffrey Gallante, Trumpet!

8 year old Trumpet phenom, Geoffrey Gallante, Headlines the 5th week of Sunday Serenades & Musical Mondays! Geoffrey began playing by age 4! He auditioned for band camp at age 4 and was placed at the highest level ranked with students 10 years older. His first teacher said "After 35 years of teaching, I've never seen a four year old who is able to read music on an 8th or 9th grade level. It would take four or five years to train somebody, a normal student, to play the way he plays." He continues to develop his talent performing with diverse ensembles such as the Northern Indiana Symphony Orchestra, the Ridgewood NJ Concert Band, the Duke Ellington Orchestra, the Philadelphia Brass, the Washington Symphonic Brass, the youngest performer ever at the Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center with a Jazz Band, and even guest TV appearances on the CBS Early Show and the Tonight Show with Jay Leno!

This amazing prodigy will be featured in classic and pop trumpet solos sure to stun those in attendance hearing this incredible young Mozart-like musician for the first time! No one is sure where his talent comes from. His mother has observed "It comes from his heart. You know, he's got soul. Whatever it takes to do it, he's got it. Whatever it is he has it and I think he really enjoys it". For up-to-date bio information click on Geoffrey Gallante.
