General Meeting

Minutes

Call to Order: President Dean Meredith called the meeting to order at 7:35pm.

Approval of September Minutes: Minutes of the September, 1998 meeting were approved with no changes. The treasurer's report was also approved at this time. There was $3288.00 in the treasury.

Properties: 6448 Nashville was condemned for demolition. Demolition bid process could take three months. Property at 6421 Lloyd was also condemned for demolition.

Arena Petition: Mr. Meredith said there was a petition to sign to save the Arena, one for each ward.

Announcements: Monday November 9 will be a class on the history of the Irish settlers of Dogtown at St. Louis Community College-Forest Park. The cost of the class is $5. Residents could bring hazardous household waste to the Arena parking lot on Saturday. Old paint cans, herbicides, household cleaners can be disposed of properly there.

Elections: Officers were presented for the 1999 year. Dean Meredith, president, Paul Yaloures, vice president, Ana Casey, treasurer, Maryanne Dersch, secretary, and Jason Stratman, assistant secretary. Officers were nominated and elected unanimously.

Adjournment: There being no other business, Mr. Meredith adjourned the meeting at 7:50pm so residents could go home early after having enjoyed the annual dinner.
