The center is consumer directed and consumer responsive. TAC is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of individuals with disabilities, parents and community leaders. The center is tax-exempt nonprofit organizations. TAC is supported by fees for service, grants, donations and others for continuing and expanding services and programs.
TAC is funded in part by a grant from the Missouri Assistive Technology Project. The primary goal is the development of a comprehensive delivery system that is consumer responsive, with good coordination of services among a variety of public and private providers.
TAC is a member of the Alliance for Technology Access, a national network of over 40 community-based technology resource center that provide access to technology for people with disabilities.
