About Technology Access Center
The Technology Access Center (TAC) was established in September 1991 in response to the growing demand among persons with disabilities and their advocates for information and services pertaining assistive technology.

The center is consumer directed and consumer responsive. TAC is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of individuals with disabilities, parents and community leaders. The center is tax-exempt nonprofit organizations. TAC is supported by fees for service, grants, donations and others for continuing and expanding services and programs.

TAC is funded in part by a grant from the Missouri Assistive Technology Project. The primary goal is the development of a comprehensive delivery system that is consumer responsive, with good coordination of services among a variety of public and private providers.

TAC is a member of the Alliance for Technology Access, a national network of over 40 community-based technology resource center that provide access to technology for people with disabilities.
