Download Draft Strategic Plan (July, 2002)
Please join St. Louis area community leaders in an engaging and candid dialogue about community technology in the St. Louis area. This meeting is key to our efforts to develop a strategic plan for community technology in our area. As part of a nation-wide effort to strengthen community technology collaboration, this meeting is made possible by the America Connects Consortium and the St. Louis Brown Bag Technology Collaborative. St. Louis area community technology leaders met in September, 2001 and in April, 2002 and identified goals and objectives for community technology. Now we are inviting business and policy leaders and other interested stakeholders to join in this process so that we can work together to develop effective strategies for reaching our community technology goals. We’ve done our homework and now we need your help. Please join us! 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM (Please RSVP) Community Technology Center (CTC) Sustainability Community technology leaders will participate in the "Sustainability for Community Technology Centers" workshop. This hands-on workshop will address the keys to planning for the sustainability of your community technology program. This workshop will address such issues as the current funding climate, strategic partnerships, the latest trends in community technology, the vision of your CTC, and how all of these things fit together in your sustainability strategy. The workshop is presented by George Gundrey of CompuMentor. CompuMentor (www.compumentor.org) has been providing technology assistance to nonprofit organization and schools serving low-income communities for 15 years. 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM (Please RSVP) St. Louis Connects Strategic Planning Session Community, policy, and business leaders, together with community technology leaders will identify effective strategies to meet the goals and objectives identified in the previous planning sessions.
