Any project made during the current school year under the supervision of an
industrial technology education instructor which qualifies under the divisions
and classifications may be entered in the State Contest. Projects made from
commercial kits are not eligible with the exception of leather and electronics
kits.
No crossbows, knives, or guns will be eligible for the State Contest.
Students entering projects which require combustibles or explosives in connection with their operation must report on certification forms the nature of materials and contact the award chairperson prior to the time of entry for permission to use these materials.
Group projects made by two or more students may be entered in the open division,
computer animation division and carpentry cabinet-making division only, with
the exception of Mass Production Projects for groups A, B, C, and E. All operational
projects must be in working order and accompanied by a working drawing except
where specifically exempted. In all cases, safety will be a factor in the decision
of the judges.
All entries are required to have been judged in a district level competition.
The entries for the state level competition are determined by district level
competition.
