Entries in this division are those that are done in the various graphic arts
courses and include work in letterpress, offset, silk screen printing, and desktop
publishing. Entries should be mounted for display on a rigid surface such as
poster board or illustration board, when applicable. Drawings (plans) are not
required, but will add to an entry's score. It must be indicated what operations
were accomplished by the student and which were borrowed, purchased, or accomplished
commercially.
GA-1 - LETTERPRESS – OFFSET - SCREEN PRINTING - MULTIPLE GRAPHIC
ARTS PROCESSES
Any letterpress printing project involving one or more colors of ink is eligible.
Three duplicate copies are required for each entry. Examples: Program, stationary,
or poster.
Any offset printing project involving one or more colors of ink is eligible.
Three duplicate copies with the plate and stripped making sheet are required
for each entry. Examples: program, stationary, or poster.
Any project printed by a screen printing process using one or more colors of
paint or ink is eligible. Three copies along with the detailed layouts (from
which the screens were made) are required for each entry. Examples: Programs,
greeting cards, fabric items, glass items, and plastic items.
Multiple Graphic Arts Processes: Any project printed using two or more image
transfer methods may be entered in this classification. Three copies, along
with detailed layouts, are required.
All groups are eligible to participate.
GA-2 - DESK TOP PUBLISHING PROCESSES
Any project designed and printed using desktop publishing software, processes
and equipment is eligible. Two final printouts in their best possible quality
along with rough layout (sketches), dummy copies, and other necessary layout
and design paperwork are required for entry. Examples: Magazine covers, Greeting
cards, Menus, Posters, Brochures, Note pads, or Stationary. Displays are limited
to 24” wide x 24" deep table space such as: science fair display
illustration board. Display height is limited to 36”.
GA-3 SINGLE OR MULTIPLE COLOR SCREEN PRINTING
Any project printed by a screen printing process using one or more colors of
paint or ink is eligible. Three copies along with the detailed layouts (from
which the screens were made) are required for each entry. Examples: Programs,
greeting cards, fabric items, glass items, and plastic items.

GA-4 DESK TOP PUBLISHING PROCESSES
Any project designed and printed using desk top publishing equipment and processes
is eligible. Three copies along with rough layouts (sketches), dummy copies,
and other necessary layout and design paperwork are required for entry. Examples:
Greeting cards, menus, posters, brochures, note pads, or stationary. Displays
are limited to 1' 6" x 3' 0" table space such as: science fair display
illustration board. Display height is limited to 4 feet.

GA-5 MULTIPLE GRAPHIC ARTS PROCESSES
Any project printed using two or more image transfer methods may be entered
in this classification. Three copies, along with detailed layouts, are required.
