Willkommen to Baden: A New Time, A New Place |
| The Baden neighborhood is bounded by the city limits on the North, Calvary Avenue on the South, the Wabash-Norfolk-Western Rail Road on the Southwest, and Hall Street on the East. The Baden neighborhood has a distinctly German flavor. From the Willkommen and Dankeschoen signs at the southern entrance of the neighborhood, to the charming brick cottages and bungalows, the German influence is quite evident. Although there was a period of decline, there has always been a strong sense of community. Recent efforts through the streetscape project along Broadway and scattered site housing developments demonstrate that Baden is on its way to being a thriving community again. | ![]() |
