"Major Projects of the STLNBA"

Baden Streetscape
Phase 1 of the Streetscape Project was completed in 2005. Stretching along Broadway from Calvary to Gimblin, the project included improved sidewalks and light pole banners, as well as new streetlights, benches, bike parking racks, and trash cans. The work culminated with the dedication of Freedom Crossing, renovating the wedge where Broadway and Halls Ferry come together to commemmorate the discovery of a nearby Underground Railroad location. Phase 2 will expand the new equipment all the way up to Riverview, providing a united look to the commercial district in the STLNBA region.

Safety and Security Committee
This committee was recently formed to investigate security concerns of local business owners. This group is working with the police to find some solutions that will increase the safety of the region and help make this a better area to go shopping.
