President’s Report

 

Discussion:

§         Block captain packets are still available for pick up

§         There is a committee meeting to amend the bylaws for 2008 updates will be given as deemed necessary.

§         Monthly neighborhood clean up is this Saturday 9/29 @ 9 a.m.

§         Michael DiMartini brought a sample portion of the chain link fence he wishes to install behind the property at Folsom and 39th street.

Garden District Commission Report

Discussion:

 

 

§         Garden District Commission Board members were present and introduced to the neighborhood residents.

§         Tom Pickel presented and update to the neighborhood with regard to property acquisitions and development progress in Botanical Heights.  Many reassurances were given that any development plans would be brought before the neighborhood prior to their implementation.  A historical overview was given and currently there have been 125 McBride homes sold 8 are under construction to be sold.

Discussion:

·         NSO Luke Reven introduced the new crime reporting sheet with graphical representations of criminal activity in the neighborhood.

·         A reminder was given that children are to play in the streets of the neighborhood.  With day lights savings time the days are shorter and visibility decreases immensely.                                      

·         A Tiffany resident reported a raccoon infestation in he neighborhood and asked that we be on the look and call animal control if there is a noticeable increase in vermin sightings.

·         Guest speaker and resident Becky Luechtefeld spoke to our residents about disaster preparedness.  She will be present at meeting for future Q&A on the topic

Discussion / Announcements:

§         Garden District 10 celebration event is this Saturday 9/29. Please come to enjoy music, food and fun.

§         The next BHNA meeting will be November 26th  @ 6:30 @ Church of God on Blaine at Klemm

§         The next BHNA Executive meeting is 11/12 @ 6:30.  The meeting is open to all residents who wish to attend.

§         Joe Worth is resigning as secretary We will need a secretary to the BHNA executive board for 2008.  Please consider nominating yourself or another resident for consideration in this position
