Community Development Administration
Jill Claybour, Acting Executive Director

The Community Development Administration (CDA) is responsible for the administration of federal funds for housing, community and economic development programs that strengthen the City of St. Louis and it's neighborhoods. CDA is funded primarily through the federal Community Development Block Grant program. It also administers funds from the HOME Investment Partnership program, the Emergency Shelter Grant, and Housing Opportunities for People with AIDS. In 2006, the City of St. Louis expects to receive approximately $30 million through these programs.

CDA works with the St. Louis Development Corporation and Planning and Urban Design Agency to carry out community and economic development programs according to a 5-year Consolidated Plan. CDA also partners or contracts with local government agencies, non-profit organizations and private firms to carry out housing development, home repair, homebuyer assistance, business and economic development, public facility improvement, historic preservation, and social service programs.
