Neighborhood Web Page Coordinator and Email monitor Guidelines

Purpose statement of neighborhood web pages and St. Louis CIN

The purpose of the neighborhood web pages is to bring people together to build community and to promote and inform neighbors and the public at large about relevant activities and resources in a selected community. Neighborhood pages should provide links to agencies, services, and opportunities available that supports the community. All content displayed in the web pages must conform to a common decency standard and be consistent with St. Louis CIN and MOREnet Acceptable Use Policies. Unacceptable uses include, but are not limited to, using St. Louis CIN for commercial activities and espousing political positions.

Webmaster/Email monitor Tenure

  • The duration of the web page coordinator and email monitor position is one year subject to renewal.
  • From time to time, registered web coordinators and email monitors will be asked to renew their commitment.
  • Failure to officially renew or decline the position will indicate to the St. Louis CIN staff the need to identify new individuals to fill the positions.

Expected responsibility of webmaster/email monitor

  1. All content posted must be consistent with above purpose statement
  2. Current content must be maintained and updated
  3. A reasonable effort must be made to post content provided by other neighborhood interested people.
  4. Date sensitive information must be posted in a timely manner (i.e; upcoming events, meetings)
  5. Web pages provided by other neighborhood interested groups must be transferred via FTP and linked in its original format within 7 days from receipt or agreed upon timeline.
  6. Neighborhood web page development meetings must be attended and/or organized regularly.

Follow-up to a concern about performance of web page coordinator/email monitor

  1. Record Initial complaint
  2. Respond to all parties within 1 week
  3. Inform all parties of procedure to be followed
  4. Review past six months activity, if applicable
  5. Evaluate concern against webmaster responsibilities to determine action to be taken
  6. Request action to be taken within a time specified by St. Louis CIN
  7. If no satisfactory action is taken within specified timeframe, webmaster/email monitor position can be revoked.
  8. If no involvement within 1 year, St. Louis CIN reserves the right to identify new individuals to fill web page coordinator/email monitor positions
