Pay Taxes

Notice - Online payments cannot be accepted for water, personal property or real estate taxes from February 24, 2008 to March 3, 2008. This is due to year-end audit procedures in the Collector of Revenue’s office. If you have questions regarding your water account, please contact 622-4179. If you have questions regarding your personal property taxes, please contact 622-4109 and if you have questions regarding your real estate taxes, please contact 622-4106.

TO PAY IN PERSON

Personal property and real estate taxes can be paid in person at City Hall, 1200 Market Street, Room 109. Acceptable forms of payment are cash, cashiers checks, money orders and debit cards. There is a $1.00 transaction fee for debit cards. Personal checks are accepted for some transactions.

TO PAY BY CREDIT CARD

You may use Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express. There will be a 2.75 % surcharge assessed to your credit card. You will not immediately receive your receipt. A receipt will be mailed to you in three to five business days.

To pay -personal property and real estate taxes by credit card:

Call 1-800-2PAY-TAX
Visit the Official Payments website http://www.officialpayments.com, use Jurisdiction Code 3512.
Or visit the kiosk located in Room 109 in City Hall.

E-Checks processed through Official Payments have a $2.75 fee up to $9999.99 and a $15.00 fee for transactions over $10,000.

TO PAY AT BANK FACILITIES

Payment of current personal property and real estate taxes can be made at the various banks in November and December.

Please note that only current (non-delinquent) personal property and real estate taxes may be paid at the bank facilities.
