Municipal Elections

What’s on the ballot for the next municipal election?

Municipal elections are normally to elect a Mayor, Comptroller, President ot the Board of Aldermen, 28 members of the Board of Aldermen and school board members. They may also have various issues to bring before the voters. In March 2005, voters in the City of St. Louis will nominate candidates for Mayor, Comptroller, and odd-numbered ward aldermen.

I need an absentee ballot for the municipal election. Can you send me an application?

The Board sends applications only to those voters on the list of permanently disabled voters. All qualified registered voters of the jurisdiction may apply for an absentee ballot by requesting in writing an absentee ballot. The request should include the voters name, address, mailing address and signature. All requests in writing must be received on or before the Wednesday prior to the election.
