ADOPTION SUCCESS STORIES

EMBER

I'm writing to you with an update on Ember, the female grey kitten we adopted from you last fall.  We came to you looking for a more laid-back companion for our female kitten, who seems to have unending amounts of energy.  Ember seemed perfect for what we were looking for, but we were a little bit worried that Tora would annoy Ember.  They are both almost a year old now, and they get along wonderfully.  Much to our surprise, Ember's favorite game is to sneak up on and jump out at Tora (rather than the opposite), and then they run through the house and chase each other and so on.  We knew they would hit it off well because by Ember's third day home, they were already sleeping curled up together and grooming each other.

Ember loves chasing laser pointers and has a favorite mouse that she carries around the house.  She also enjoys laying on the back of the couch watching the cars go by.  We love her very much, and her and Tora are, for the most part, inseparable.

Thank you so much for all of your help with us finding a new cat.  Out of the different shelters we went to, your workers were by far the most helpful and didn't mind pausing in their duties to tell us about different animals and give us advice.  We are always recommending people to look for pets at your shelter. If you want this to go in the success stories page, that would be fine. As Branwell's new guardians said, the adopters of cats need to step up too!

I'm attaching a few recent photos of her.

Thank you so much,
Joseph and Rebecca
