Long overdue note-how our precious Ruthe is doing:
We adopted this beautiful girl from the City Animal Control-Kelly and Sylvia were so helpful in assisting me. They have some great dogs there, and Suzanne's walking program really shows with these dogs. We adopted her for my 90 year old mother, who spends the majority of her time in her home, and missed my beloved Ruby terribly. So we named her RUTHE in honor of our own Ruthe who did such a splendid job on the fashion show for Animal House. Our Ruthe is much MUCH prettier than her pictures-you can see her enjoying life at the country club-she is beautiful, athletic, kind, agreeable, smart and loyal. We have yet to put her on a leash, she is so content with staying close to the house. We have a fenced in back yard for her, but she has learned to scale it and nose around the other parts of the yard. We have a plan from an electric fence company, but we are going to wait a couple of weeks to see if we really need it. She seems so happy around the house, until it is time for our walk, when we go to the Country Club Golf Course. She runs solidly for an hour with periodic stops at the lake to intimidate the ducks. She has never had an accident since we got her. She is getting used to getting in and out of the car and handles the riding a little better now. She is recuperating beautifully from her kennel cough, her spay, and a slight ear infection. She has been innoculated, wormed, chipped and spruced up. We all just love her and she is such a comfort and a kind, constant, companion for my mother. I will TRY and get better pictures, she really is BEAUTIFUL, but she has so much energy on our walks, it is hard to try and get her to pose for a picture. The other day on our walk, I slipped and fell (I am fine) but it took a couple of minutes to get up from it-she raced back to me and didn¹t leave my side until I started walking again. What a great dog! Anyway, I thought you should know our happy story.
Love, Allison
