ADOPTION SUCCESS STORIES

XANDER

"Xander was rescued from the ARC in May of 2004. We rescued him with the intention of only fostering him until our rescue group found a permanent home for him. One month and a failed adoption later, he ended up back with us. We gradually stopped bringing him to the adoption events and decided that he was to stay with us forever. More than a year later, he is happy, healthy, and beautiful! He is a 2-year-old Akita/German Shepherd mix who is the friendliest dog in the world. He welcomes every new foster animal into our home and helps rehabilitate them so they can be adopted. He tolerates the antics of every puppy and lets the kittens climb all over him without complaint. My nephew rides him and he loves kids. Xander is the best dog I have ever owned and I couldn't imagine life without him. Please adopt from the ARC and give a deserving animal a second chance!"
