Small Changes for Health is a wellness program designed for the Department of Health employees in 2003. First used in calendar year 2004, Small Changes for Health focuses on trying out small, health-related behaviors for a week. Once employees have success with the small, weekly changes, they are motivated to continue those changes and make other beneficial ones. The goal is an overall improvement in health status. This program lasts throughout the year (52-weeks) and changes span the categories of nutrition, physical fitness, stress & relaxation, and health screenings, as well as goal setting & rewards. Small Changes for Health 2006 is available through the DOH website and all employees are encouraged to participate in this free program. If you have any questions about this program, please contact Lori Jones, at 314/612-5400.
