    City ordinances require that all businesses operating in the City of St. Louis must obtain a business license. The License Collector’s Office is generally the first stop a business owner makes when initiating activity within the City of St. Louis. Our desire is to make this process as user-friendly as possible.

    The City of St. Louis has many different types of business licenses. By clicking on our general information page, you may search our general business list, review our requirements, costs and documents needed to obtain a business license for the City of St. Louis. Bring all required information to the License Collector’s Office, Room 104 of City Hall, located at Market and Tucker Blvd. and we will help you secure a business license.
