Third Annual St. Louis City Licensing and
Business Resource Fair

University 10 AM – 2 PM
- One
Day Moratorium for Penalties and Fees, Business Briefings with Banks and
City, State and Federal Government Departments on Hand to Help Businesses -
(St. Louis, MO) – The 3rd
Annual St. Louis City Licensing and Business Resource Fair will give St. Louis
Businesses an opportunity for a one day moratorium to pay their license fees.
The Fair is a collaboration between the Office of the License Collector and
the Collector of Revenue. The fair will be held Wednesday, June 17th
from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at
Harris Stowe State
University’s Emerson Performing Arts Center.
According to Michael
McMillan, License Collector: “This Licensing and Business Resource Fair is
a continuation of our commitment to serve the business community. We want to
ensure that every business has access to us and the resources they need to
support their business. We hope this moratorium to pay penalties; and fees and
our coming into the community will help give
St. Louis businesses to greater access city services as well as to resource
providers who will help them.”
The
event offers a one-stop licensing opportunity with numerous city offices on
site to allow businesses to take care of outstanding licensing affairs all in
one day, all at one time. This year we are adding Business Briefings
that will be held on the hour starting at 10:00 AM and ending at 2:00
PM with informal interactive networking opportunities for business owners with
banking representatives, including Gateway Bank, Bank of America, Southwest
Bank, UMB Bank, Regions Bank, Pulaski Bank, Fifth Third Bank, Commerce Bank,
and Royal Bank, along with the U.S. Small Business Administration, Prudential
Careers, and other service providers.
Gregg
Daly, Collector of Revenue, stated, “The process we have created through
this coordinated effort makes our internal support for businesses more
efficient, as well as it raises the bar in City government for serving the
businesses in our community.”
Revenue
collected by the License Collector’s Office directly supports the numerous
governmental agencies and services including: the City of St. Louis, St.
Louis Public Schools, St. Louis Zoo/Museum District, Community College
District, Metro Sewer District, State Blind Fund, Community Mental Health
Fund, Community Children’s Service Fund, MR/DD Resources and the Convention &
Visitor’s Commission.
The
License Collector’s website has been improved and an option is now available
