Vendor- Vehicle Business

All non-permanent or transient  businesses must meet the criteria of a Vehicle, Sidewalk, Itinerant or Festival Vendor.  If your business DOES NOT fall within this criteria your business is prohibited.

 

**YOU WILL NEED TO REGISTER WITH THE LICENSE COLLECTORS OFFICE BEFORE YOU CAN APPLY FOR  YOUR HEALTH PERMIT.**

 

 

Cost is $200.00 per calendar year payment must be in cash, money order or cashiers check, unless an established business in the City of St. Louis

 

Before visiting City Hall to acquire your Vehicle Vendor License you must:

 

1. Register with the State of Missouri for a State Sales or Use Tax Number

On the day you visit the License Collector's Office to complete your application for a Street Vendor License you will need to:

 

2.  Apply and pay for a Vehicle Vendor License.  Your license will  be issued after all the necessary requirements are met.

 

3. Obtain clearance from the Collector of Revenue

4. A passport photo is required in order for us to issue your Vehicle vendor badge.

 

5. Health Permit (if selling food)

 

**The health dept will require a copy of your paid receipt for a Vehicle Vendor License, before a health application can be taken.**

 

    Cost:  Thirty-five ($35.00), must be paid in business check or money order.

6. If propane is being used in any way, you must obtain a Fire Permit

    

    Cost is Twenty Dollars ($20.00).

Insurance in the amount of twenty-five thousand dollars/fifty thousand dollars bodily injury coverage and property damage in the amount of ten thousand dollars with an insurance company of good standing on each vehicle used in the operation of the vending business.

 

After receiving all of the above required permits, you will need to return to the License Collectors’ Office for your license to be issued.
