Lambert has become the launching pad for some heart-warming memories
for local WWII veterans. Area Honor Flight Groups have scheduled
several free trips this year for Missouri and Illinois veterans
so they could travel to Washington, DC, to see the National WWII
Memorial and other landmarks. Volunteer escorts accompany the
veterans on the trips.
