Manley and Tajkowski Retire

The Department of Public Safety’s Building Division recently bid a fond farewell to two employees.

Patricia “Pat” Manley started with the Department of Public Safety – Building Division in 1970 as a clerk-typist. She became one of the first women building inspectors in 1976, and in 1989 Pat was promoted to the position of Building Inspector Supervisor. She retired on Sept. 1.

Richard Tajkowski also retired on September 1. During his career with the City, Rick worked briefly in several departments before joining the Building Division in 1992 as a Building Inspector.

Congratulations, Pat and Rick!

On her last day in the office, Pat Manley was presented with a Mayoral proclamation. Shown (from left) are: Walter Murphy, Frank Oswald, Pat Manley, Ed Ware, John McDonald, Don Hubeli, and Richard Tajkowski.
