Payroll Section Honored For Teamwork
Three members of the SLATE office were in City Hall recently to
thank the comptroller’s office payroll section for their support
this past summer assisting the UrbanFORCE-Next Generation Jobs
Team Summer Youth Program.
SLATE Director Michael Holmes along with Allison Todd and Kelley
Bernardi presented a plaque to payroll manager Amy Williams, Shalonda
Covington and Antionette Thomas. Over an eight-week period, payroll
issued more than 13,000 paychecks to support SLATE’s massive summer
jobs program. This was in addition to the 7,000 paychecks issued
to city employees every two weeks.
Also pitching in to support the SLATE program was the comptroller’s
control section whose employees entered all the additional payroll-related
data into the city’s accounting system.
