Want To Be An Olympic Skater? Take Lessons At Steinberg Rink

Little Olympic champions of the future can try to figure skate like the pros at Steinberg Rink. And their parents can practice their spins and jumps.

But if holding onto the rail is more your speed, Steinberg is offering ice skating lessons.

AIf you have always wanted to learn to skate, this is your opportunity,” said Anne Kasal, the rink=s operator. “It also can be a family event – there are classes for children and adults.”

The six week program starts Tuesday, Jan. 8. Classes for children start at 6 p.m. and adults take to the ice at 7 p.m.

The lessons cost $30 and will be held every Tuesday for six weeks. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 361-0613.

Skating fees are $6 for adults; and $5 for children 12 and under. Skate rental is $2.50. The entrance fee is for all day. Entrance fees are charged only for skating so the concession area can be a Adestination@ for joggers, bikers and those who want to watch the skaters.

The Steinberg Café has full food service with a menu that includes appetizers, snacks, sandwiches, burgers and pizza. Beer and wine are available.

For information on the rink, call the message line at 361-0613.
