Mayor Francis G. Slay
We Have A Plan

At 5 a.m. City streets are quiet - today.

While we don’t know what the streets will be like after Jan. 2 when MODOT closes I-64/40 from Ballas to I-170, we want to make everyone’s commute as safe, easy and efficient as possible.

So Street Department employees will be out weekdays at 5 a.m., driving the major routes in the city to find and fix traffic problems that could cause headaches for commuters.

We know that motorists who use I-64/40 will switch to I-44, I-70, and our city streets to get to work. complete story >>
