Comptroller Green Honored For Meritorious Service

Mathews-Dickey Boys’ and Girls’ Club honored Comptroller Darlene Green recently with their Meritorious Service Award at the organization’s 48th Anniversary Alumni Celebration and Awards Showcase held Saturday, Feb. 16.

Mathews-Dickey recognized Comptroller Green for her service as chairwoman of last year’s Sheer Elegance No. 19 that raised $140,000 for their Girls’ Program. The award also recognized Green’s service as a St. Louis native chair and office holder since 1997 and her support of the Club’s college scholarships and internships.

“Being involved with Mathews-Dickey is one of the most rewarding and fulfilling experiences. Serving as Sheer Elegance chairwoman gave me the opportunity to give back and support the girls in our community,” said Green.
