Mayor Francis G. SlayFashion Week Events Announced

The City Hall Rotunda was the place to be on Feb. 12 as Mayor Francis G. Slay, Attilio D'Agostino, executive producer of Saint Louis Fashion Week and editor-in-chief of ALIVE Magazine, and others announced details for this year's Saint Louis Fashion Week which will run from March 25 through March 30.

The events for Fashion Week 2008 will create a showcase for top international designers to reach their Midwest customers and for local and upcoming designers to launch their careers. Highlights will include:

- Global fashion icon and reality TV star Kimora Lee Simmons will participate in a series of events honoring her success as St. Louis' most celebrated fashion personality.

- Runway shows are scheduled on March 26, 27, 28 and 30.

- Over a dozen parties have been scheduled to take place during Fashion Week.

- March 29 will be the day for a city-wide Shopping Event.
