Snow Clear

Lambert-St. Louis International Airport took Mother Nature’s best shot with a storm that delivered more than eight inches of snow beginning Thursday morning, January 31. It’s the biggest storm yet of this winter season. Lambert’s dozens of snow removal crews hit the pavement, ramps and runways at 10 a.m. Thursday for what will likely end up being a 48 hour or more operation. Crews combat the snow and ice with plows, snow blowers, runway brooms, de-icer trucks, front loaders and dump trucks.
