Weddings And Receptions
In City of St. Louis Parks
The City of St. Louis has several locations that can be rented to hold a wedding and/or a reception.
The Jewel Box in Forest Park is one of the most beautiful sites in St. Louis for wedding ceremonies. It also is one of the most popular.
The Jewel Box is open after $3.5 million renovation. The interior has been completely redone. The mechanical systems have been replaced, the floral display area has been improved, it is air conditioned and a catering area has been built so the building can be rented for weddings, receptions, corporate meetings and parties.
Sitting high atop Government Hill, the World's Fair Pavilion commands a dramatic view of
Forest Park. This magnificent open air shelter has been one of the park's most popular and
impressive attractions since it was built in 1909 with proceeds from the 1904 World's
Fair. Forest Park Forever raised $1.1 million to totally renovate the building in 1998.
The World's Fair Pavilion provides a picturesque setting for weddings and receptions. The covered floor area of the open air pavilion can seat approximately 500 people.
Kiener Plaza, in the heart of downtown St. Louis, provides the best view in the city and is a perfect spot for a wedding...either for a small gathering or a huge party for thousands of friends and relatives.
Kiener Plaza and the Morton D. May Amphitheater command a dramatic view of the Old Court House and the Gateway Arch. The park’s centerpiece is a pool and fountain containing a statue known as “The Runner” by sculptor William Zorach.
Visitors can find quiet seating areas, paths, and lawn
areas for leisurely strolls. The cascade fountain provides a focal point and its background sound provides some acoustic privacy from the sounds of the city.
The maximum capacity for Kiener Plaza and the May Amphitheater is about 3,000 people. The area provides a picturesque setting for weddings, receptions, festivals, concerts, company picnics, private receptions for conventioneers, fundraising benefits, tailgate parties,
pre-game rallies, and marketing events
