Summer Day Camps

The Recreation Division operates summer camps and programs at parks and recreation centers for children ages 4 to 12. The programs are free and a free lunch also is provided at all locations.

Camps start Monday, June 8 and end on July 25. Camps are closed on Friday, July 3.

Summer camps and programs include include activities such as sports, arts and crafts, games, fishing, swimming, tennis, field trips and special events.

Children ages 4 to 6 attend camp from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Children ages 7 to 12 arrive at 9:30 a.m. and leave at 4 p.m. Each camp session lasts one week and there are seven sessions.

Pre-registration is mandatory for children who want to attend camp at Cherokee Center, Lindenwood Park, Marquette Center, Willmore Park and Wohl Center.

Pre-registration is not mandatory but is suggested for children who want to attend the other camps. Pre-registration is open now and runs until the start of day camps and will be accepted for four one-week sessions. Openings will be filled on a first come, first served basis after June 8.

The camp at Lindenwood Park is for ages 4 to 6 only. Willmore Park is for ages 7 to 12 only.
