Project Goal

Create an implementable comprehensive neighborhood plan for the entire 5th ward in conjunction with the community which establishes a unified identity for the ward and strives to improve not only the physical surroundings but create stronger neighborhoods and positively impact the quality of life for the residents, business owners and visitors.

Project Process

The process for formulating this neighborhood plan is divided into four phases: Data Collection, Analysis, Conceptual Plans, and Final Master Plan. Maximum public participation is intended during the planning process. A community-wide kick-off meeting was held on September 18, 1999 for this planning effort, with the final draft master plan to be considered for Planning Commission's adoption in early 2002.
