The Proposed Gravois-Jefferson Streetcar Suburb National Register Historic District
On November 12, 2004, a proposed historic district within the City of St. Louis will be considered by the Missouri Advisory Council on Historic Preservation for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places. The National Register is the Federal government’s official list of historic properties worthy of preservation. Listing in the National Register provides recognition and assists in preserving our Nation’s heritage. The proposed Gravois-Jefferson Streetcar Suburb Historic District contains 4888 residential and commercial properties with 1684 outbuildings in an area roughly bounded by Gravois, Jefferson, Meramec and S Grand. |
