America Recycles Day 2007

America Recycles Day Expo at City Hall
On Thursday, November 15, 2007, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the City of St. Louis celebrated America Recycles Day
with it's Third Annual America Recycles Day Expo in the City Hall Rotunda.
Open to the general public (free-of-charge), the Expo featured businesses and organizations that offered reused and
recycled content products, recyclables collection and processing services, and educational programs.

Note: Feel free to bring donations of the following used (or new) items: sheets, towels, blankets, stuffed animals,
pet toys, small-lipped container lids (e.g., butter, cottage cheese, yogurt) for feeding kittens and puppies, newspaper and
shredded paper (for bedding and litter), pet carriers, litterboxes, collars, and leashes.

For pledging to recycle, the following attendees won the prizes listed below:
K. Wentzel - a refurbished laptop (generously donated by EPC, Inc.) with a colorful, sturdy carrying/storage bag made of reused tire rubber
C. French - a vermicomposter filled with an assortment of reused and recycled kitchen and bath products, suitable for the home or office
C. Billups - a recycled tire rubber tote containing tools to help with composting and indoor/outdoor gardening and landscaping organically
G. Carreathers - a cozy fleece blanket woven of recycled plastic
S. Donahue, R. Olelh, R. Howard, L. Wessels - each won a multicolored recycled plastic clipboard
