Drop-off Recycling

Residents may use any of 26 drop-off sites that are managed by the City of St. Louis Refuse Division. For your convenience, most of these sites are accessible 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week. For location information:

    Drop-off recycling is as easy as 1-2-3! Simply separate your recyclables into three mixes of materials: commingled containers, commingled papers, and corrugated cardboard. For details about what to include in your recycling bin:

    Curbside Recycling

    The Curbside Recycling Cost-Sharing Pilot Program is available to residents living in zip codes 63108, 63110, 63112, 63113, 63116, 63139, and 63147. Thanks to generous support from the St. Louis - Jefferson Solid Waste Management District and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, financial assistance with curbside recycling service is offered to thousands of eligible households.     Community Outreach

    Meetings and Presentations

    The Recycling Program staff is available to present at meetings of community groups, neighborhood associations, or other citizen groups to educate residents about waste reduction and recycling opportunities. For more information or to schedule a presentation, email recycle@stlouis.missouri.org or call 314.353.8877. We can speak about a topic of your choice, or we can present on the following topics:

    We're here to work with you! Communicating information about City services that are available to residents is a vital part of our operation. If your organization consists of or works with City residents, we'll gladly speak at your meetings. To date for 2009, we've presented as follows:

    The City of St Louis Recycling Program publishes a monthly newsletter for City residents, free-of-charge.     Other Services

    Is there a project that you have in mind, but you’re not quite sure how to proceed? The Recycling Program is here to assist you. From background research to training to educational materials, our staff can provide you with technical assistance to help you implement new projects, programs, or services in your area.

    Do you need information or articles for your organization’s newsletter or webpages? Please feel free to download and photocopy anything that you see on our website. Or we can email it to you, so that you can cut and paste what you need, or customize it for your group. If necessary, we can also provide you with hard copies - on recycled content paper, of course! Are your residents interested in a topic that you don’t see on our webpages? Let us know. Our staff can assist you with researching the issue and preparing related materials.
