If you are not sure where the organization is located there are bus schedules to help. Be sure to check out the upcoming events and job fairs that are posted and may be of interest to you.

Phone, Fax and Copy Service. There is a TTY phone available for hearing-impaired customers. The copy and fax machine can also be used to assist you with a job search. A bank of phones is located in the Resource Area for direct connection with an Unemployment Insurance representative, as well.

America's Jobline for the Blind. If you are visually impaired and unable to use the Resource Room computers for a job search, there is a free public service called Jobline provided by the National Federation of the Blind and the US Department of Labor. This service is available on the telephone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and is updated with new job leads every day. All that is required is a touch-tone phone to establish your personalized job search and application profile. If you would like to use this service at the SLATE Career Center, ask for Tonde Evans in the Resource Center. For more information about this service, contact the National Federation of the Blind at 410-659-9314, E-mail nfb@nfb.org, or website www.nfb.org.
