J. Todd BlackstockJ. Todd Blackstock received the Emmy Award as Host and Co-Producer for the Best Sports Program “Inside Sports” for the year 2003 by the Mid-America Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Since 2005 Todd has served as a Chair and Judge for NATAS panels selecting Emmy winners from other regions of the country.

Todd is a 1983 graduate of Parkway West Sr. High School in Chesterfield Mo. As a student athlete he earned Varsity Letters in Football, Baseball and Track. As a junior Todd won the district championship in the 400 meters and played for 3 conference championship football teams under legendary coach Jack Wells.

Todd received his Bachelors Degree from Southeast Mo. St. U in 1989. He served as Asst. Sports Information Director for the Indian Baseball team and was the Host of the AM/PM Talk Show and Rock Shop at KRCU 91 FM. Todd helped open the Basketball Arena and concert venue known as the “Show Me Center” in 1987 and was a Lead Spot Light Operator for events including concerts by Aerosmith, Guns & Roses, Reba Mc Intire, Hank Williams and shows with President Ronald Reagan. Todd was Vice President of the I.F.C. and named Phi Sigma Kappa “Active of the Year” in 1989.

In 1994 Todd became Sports Director of KYMC 89.7 FM and received the A.I.R. Award in 1996 in the “Best Talent” category while broadcasting High School Football games with N.F.L. Hall of Famer Jackie Slater. Todd served as a lead play by play announcer and Host of “Instant Replay” for KWRE and V-100 from 1994 – 1996.

Todd served as the sports update host and producer for TCI Cables “See Hear Show” and received his first Telly Award as a Talent/Reporter for the 1997 X-Games. In 1998 Todd began working for the City of St. Louis Communications Division’s City 16 as Anchor for City Edition. In 1999 Todd received a Telly Award for “Big Mac Mania.” Todd began Hosting “Inside Sports” from it’s inception in 2000 during the St. Louis Rams magical Super Bowl season.

Todd was also on board as the talent and script writer from the inception of “In Your Ward”. Todd received Telly Awards for his work on Ald. Jim Shrewsbury and Ald.Fred Wessels productions and was honored by Ald. Kirner with a Resolution from the Board of Alderman. Todd received two more Telly’s for “Inside Sports” with Jay Randolph and Mackie Shilstone along with a Telly for City Corner with the Arteaga Family.

Todd broadcasted Guns & Hoses twice from Scottrade Center and served as play by play announcer for the River City Rage and the J.F.L. Monday Night game of the week
Todd has covered the Rams, Cards, Blues, Rascals, River City Rage and has been to 3 Super Bowls, 2 World Series games. Todd has also covered the NCAA Final 4 in Men and Women’s Basketball as well as the NCAA Wrestling National Championships along with amateur boxing. Todd has covered dozens of events for the “St. Louis Gateway Classic Sports Foundation”, The “Valley Conference” and is proud to have served as Master of Ceremonies for the St. Louis Sports Commissions Career Day in 2001 & 2002.
