Kara
Savio has made her home in St. Louis since her move from
Chicago, Illinois in 1989. She attended Indiana State University
for her general studies and went on to Columbia College and Webster
University as a Broadcast Journalism Major. She did an internship
at KTVI in St. Louis from 1996-1997 and also attended the Broadcast
Center. In
1996, she began hosting and producing for a live local magazine/news
show, See Hear on Charter Cable, for which Kara received
one silver and three bronze Telly Awards for her work.
She
joined the STL TV team in 1995 where she worked as a Host and
Producer for numerous shows. In 1999, she moved to St. Joseph,
Missouri as the Producer/Anchor of the ninety minute morning news
program, Daybreak , for the ABC Affiliate KQTV. Since her return
to St. Louis, she has been working as a news anchor/ reporter
for STL TV, and is also working in radio an on-air talent/ traffic
reporter for several area stations including KSLZ, K-HITS, KYKY,
KSD and WSSM.
