The Traffic Division has six double crews working to maintain an inventory of more than 300,000 signs placed in the streets of our city. They can replace and install more than 2,000 signs a month. The Division prioritizes repairs to signs which have a direct impact on safety. These include Stop, One Way, Do Not Enter, Detour, Yield, and School Crossing signs, which are handled as emergencies and are usually replaced within 24 hours. For further reading see The Sign Shop.
