Welcome to Clayton Tamm
The Clayton/Tamm neighborhood derives its name from the intersection of two avenues, but is also more widely known for being part of Dogtown.
This intersection is the hub of activity for any person with a list of chores requiring the need of services. You will find a hardware store, laundramat, grocery store, restaurants, lumber yard, hair stylists, in addition to many other shops and businesses in walking distance.
Clayton/Tamm is located directly south of the St. Louis Zoo. Its borders consist of Oakland Avenue and Highway 40/64 on the north, Hampton Avenue on the east, Manchester Avenue on the south, and the west shared by Dale and Louisville Avenues.
The name Dogtown refers to the informal combination of three adjoining neighborhoods: Clayton/Tamm (42), Franz Park (43), and Hi-Point (44); contained within the area of Oakland, Hampton, Manchester, and the city limits.
