Photos from the 2002 Hibernian's St. Patrick's Day Parade
The 18th Annual Ancient Order of the Hibernian's St. Patrick's Day Parade was held on Sunday, March 17th, 2002. It was a chilly and overcast day, but that did not dampen the spirits of the tens of thousands who came out to watch this fantastic event.
This year the grand marshalls of the parade were two police officers and two firemen from New York City. They received a deserving hero's welcome from parade goers along the entire parade route.
Mayor Francis Slay was also in attendance for the parade.
Captian Oldani of the St. Louis Police 2nd District kept things in order.
This is an ariel shot of St. James the Greater Church and school taken from the police helicopter early on parade day.
