Organized in October 1994 the 4200 Block Washington Property Owners Association began. Our purpose to foster goodwill, neighborhood unity and improvements brought us together.

Since our inception we took 1st place in the National Night out in 1995. Because of this accomplishment all our neighbors received porch lights and a street poster was hung on a light post announcing our position.

Currently we are participating in 'Gateway Greening Project' in concert with the Central West End Association. Our plans call for beatification of Boyle and Pendleton streets from West Pine, north to Delmar. This will create an inviting and beautiful landscape along this north/south corridor.

Future plans include an application to St. Louis 2004, for assistance in developing our neighborhood development. We are also seeking the possibility of Special Taxing District to enhance development and security.

If you visit our Block you will notice, two stately concrete planters at the western entrance of the 4200 block Washington. We hope you will enjoy a casual drive through. We are open for suggestions and encourage your investment in our neighborhood.
