Façade Program

Facade Picture The Neighborhood Commercial District Incentive Program, better known as the Façade Program is a commercial storefront improvement program designed to assist the owner or the business of a commercial property in improving and/or restoring the building to be more appealing to the consumer and the neighborhood. The assistance comes in the form of grants to the owner or business. The assistance comes in the form of grants to the owner or business. These grants are available for commercial properties throughout the City.

The objective is to enhance the appearance of individual buildings in a commercial district and thereby help to stabilize and revitalize the surrounding neighborhood. This is achieved with a combination of public and private funding that encourages the business or building owner to improve the building with the ultimate goal of restoring it to the original style and character. The historic character of the building helps to determine the scope of the renovation.
