Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority of the City of St. Louis (LCRA) will receive sealed bids from contractors for the Near Southside Infrastructure Phase 4E, St. Louis, MO. Bids will be received until 2:00 PM, St. Louis time, October 25, 2007 at 1015 Locust Street, Suite 1200, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened. Contract Documents will be available at said address on October 1, 2007. The cost for the Contract Documents is $75.00. Contractors must take affirmative action to ensure employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, creed, color, national origin, age or sex, and shall take affirmative action in employment of lower income residents of the City. Maximum Utilization of minority and women business enterprises will be sought for all work proposed in this project. Also, prior to award of the contract a Section 3 plan (under the provisions of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968) must be prepared. A pre-bid meeting at the above office is scheduled for October 17, 2007 at 1:00 PM. Call Bill Sutton at 259-3476 for details. The project, in general, consists of a qualified general contractor licensed by the City of St. Louis providing all construction services to the Authority for the work contemplated herein to include removal of improvements; grading; new asphalt streets; concrete sidewalks; curbs and drive entrances; storm sewers; fire hydrant relocations; street lighting and landscaping – all in accordance with the plans and specifications.
