4100 Westminster Place

A tree-lined street with a classic Central West End address, right in the heart of the city, 4100 Westminster Place has the feel of a private place. Open today from 12-4, 28 townhomes are being converted to condominiums by Westin Residential, led by Jerry King and Joe Johnson, also responsible for CWE condominium successes Laclede Townhomes, 110 North Newstead Condos, and West Pine Court. With sales prices starting at only $ 111,500, the Westminster Place condominiums are two-story 2 or 3 bedroom townhomes with brick façades and many new upgrades. Four of the units are available immediately and can be viewed today. Twelve units have already been sold, and the remaining units are scheduled for completion by mid-summer. Qualified buyers will be able to choose lighting, cabinets, carpeting and several other options for those units.

The Westminster Place condominiums have great master bedroom/bath layouts, and many have lovely bay windows and fireplaces. New flooring, cabinets and appliances have been installed in the kitchens. New heating and air conditioning, walk-in closets with wire shelving, laundry areas with washer and dryer, add to the feeling that these homes are ready for easy living. New fencing will soon be installed around each private back yard, complete with patio and a brand-new detached garage, which also provides secure storage for the homeowner.

Westminster Place is a planned community, transformed during the late 80's by McCormack-Baron, widely recognized for their development of entire neighborhoods. Working with the City of St. Louis's Community Development Agency and the Missouri Housing Development Commission, more than 142 units of new rental housing were built. McCormack-Baron's excellent maintenance of this rental community has insured its long-term success. A major commitment also created more than two blocks of retail shopping, including a new Schnuck's grocery store at Lindell Marketplace. More than 50 new single-family homes have been built in the area in the past few years on nearby blocks. McCormack House, a beautiful assisted-living building for the elderly, was completed as well. The community is an outstanding success story in the City of St. Louis, stimulating redevelopment near St. Louis University, which is within walking distance. Also nearby is famed Metro High School, recently designated one of Missouri's top schools.
