The mission of the Community Development Administration's Residential Development Section is to help revitalize, stabilize, and maintain St. Louis neighborhoods by renovating run-down or abandoned properties, developing vacant land, and stimulating new construction with an emphasis on safe, decent, and affordable housing primarily for low- and moderate-income persons.

The Residential Development Section of CDA uses federal funds to encourage housing development in targeted areas of the City. Funding is provided wholly through a grant from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development via their Community Development Block Grant program and HOME Investment Partnership program.

Our staff provides information, direction, and technical assistance to developers, builders, neighborhood organizations, for profit and non-profit organizations, individual citizens, and property owners who partner with CDA to produce quality affordable housing in the City of St. Louis.
