Transportation

Evaluate your public safety skills, and learn as much as you can about being safe while traveling in the community. Learn about bus training and other options such as Call-a-Ride and Care Cab.

Some adult service agencies will help you arrange or train you to use appropriate transportation, which you will need to get to your job, to medical appointments, or to social activities.

Check with your Regional Center casemanager for options.

Taxicabs

Missouri Driver's License
Consider this option if you have good judgment skills and have access to a vehicle, especially if you choose to live in an area where public transportation, like buses, is limited.  Pick up a Missouri Driver's Guide manual from a Missouri Department of Revenue office, and start studying.  You may qualify for assistance during the exam.  Talk to the driving examiners in the Department of Revenue office nearest to you.
