Gibson Heights Presbyterian operates a cultural arts center called The Upper Room. It features neighborhood and city-wide talents including the dramatic arts, poetry reading, live music, and visual arts. Black Repertory Theater performers are frequent guests. The church also offers an after school and summer program for neighborhood youth aged 6-12. During the summer, the program runs 5-days per week from 9 to 1. Breakfast and lunch are provided. It, too, provides children with a chance to explore the dramatic arts, music, crafts and cooperative games. The children's program operates on Tuesdays after school during the school year.
